Why fall?
Ants have a reputation for thriving during summertime months, but they also never fail to make an appearance during fall. Similar to most insects, ants will seek refuge and food inside homes, traveling in colonies to prepare for the winter. This means it will be more likely you’ll find large amounts of ants inside your home rather than on blades of grass in your yard.
Protect yourself
As temperatures drop, check the perimeter of your home for any small holes where ant colonies can fit through. These insects are small, so keep an eye out for miniscule cracks of entry as well. Be sure to clear your home of unnecessary trash to maintain a clean environment. The less amount of open containers and exposed trash, the lower probability ants will scavenge your home.
